Rice Science (ISSN 1672-6308, formerly Chinese Rice Research Newsletter, ISSN 1005-4111) is an international peer-reviewed bimonthly journal sponsored by China National Rice Research Institute, Hangzhou, China and hosting by the Elsevier B V.
CNRRI established in Hangzhou as approved by the Chinese State Council in 1981 is a non a non-profit organization, plays an important role in coordinating priority rice research programs, conducting national and international science and technology activities on rice.
Rice Science aims to advance and diffuse the knowledge of rice sciences, and to provide readers with the most influential developments and transformative ideas in rice research and production. The topics covered include but are not limited to: breeding and genetics, molecular biology, biotechnology, germplasm resources, agronomy, plant physiology, pest management, soil and fertilizer management, ecology, cereal chemistry and post-harvest processing.
Rice Science went open access in 2015. Rice Science is indexed by SCIE from 2017 and the new impact factor is 5.6.
